Zachary Busch

Music Ministry
As Curator of Music and worship, Zach serves Woodlake in conducting its Adult Choir and Praise Ringers Handbell Ensemble, leading worship from the organ and the piano, and overseeing most aspects of music ministry at the church. Zach started at Woodlake in an interim capacity in June 2010 and was hired permanently in October 2011. Zach’s passion in music ministry at Woodlake centers on his belief that communal music making is an embodiment of Christ’s commandment to love one another.

In 2009, Zach earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music from Luther College where he sang in the Nordic Choir and toured with them internationally as their organist. He earned the Master of Sacred Music degree from Luther Seminary in May 2011, where his teachers included Paul Westermeyer, John Ferguson and Anton Armstrong. Zach is active in the Metro area as a professional musician, singing tenor in the National Lutheran Choir and maintaining an active schedule as a freelance accompanist.
